A natural place from dreams

I am a member of the Planta Europa Network since 2007. This organisation has helped me to find a lot of scientific contacts and to start collaboration with botanists from different countries. Besides, I visited Romania, Poland and Greece for participating of the Planta Europa Conference. Every from these trips were amazing, but Greek conference in 2014 left the biggest memories, especially from Cretan nature. Official part of these memories was published in the Ukrainian Botanical Journal by my Ukrainian and Bulgarian colleagues together with me (please, read ubj_2014_71_5_21). However I still want to share my impressions, and I think the Global Botanical Portal is a good place for it.

I am going to prepare several posts about wonderful plants of Crete, but today I will tell just about a natural place of dreams – Elafonisi. We visited this place during a field excursion within 7th Planta Europa Conference, and we had a great opportunity to enjoy rich local flora, and to swim in blue sea during breaks in learning littoral vegetation. 1920125_663310033716030_3204885357293940852_n Next you will find some beautiful photos of plants and landscapes 🙂

I had the great opportunity to visit such a beautiful place due to a grant for participating in 7th Planta Europa Conference. By the way, there is very little time (only till February 26, 2017) for registration and participating in the 8th Planta Europa Conference, which will held in the end of May 2017 in Kyiv (Ukraine). If it is interesting for us, please, visit the conference websitre – http://8peconference.in.ua

All the best,
Mykyta Peregrym
